Scott plays offense with mortgage guidelines. Most people read them to find out what can't be done; he reads them to find out what can.
Guidelines are the entry fee, though. Anyone who talks with Scott for more than a few seconds picks up on the real thing: he works where mortgage, technology, and human communication meet, and he's fluent in all three. Most people in this industry are strong in one. His edge is the combination.
He's a serial entrepreneur who has built several companies from the ground up, so he thinks in systems. A lot of the operational engine that lets SouthCoast Processing grow without losing precision has his fingerprints on it. He has a low tolerance for clunky processes, and anything manual around here tends not to stay manual for long.
He can get deep into underwriting nuance in one meeting and turn it into a plain-English decision in the next, and when a loan has no clean path, he reworks the strategy until there's one that works for the borrower and still sits squarely inside the lines. He's also a die-hard Celtics fan who schedules around tip-off, and a golfer who spends enough time on the course that improvement should feel inevitable. Somehow it isn't.
He's collected a lot of titles over the years. Husband and dad are the two he leads with.
Scott describes himself as an elegant bull in a china shop, and nobody who knows him argues. Plenty of commotion, and somehow the only things that ever break are the bottlenecks.

As Vice President of Closing at SouthCoast Processing, she owns the final mile. Once a loan hits clear-to-close, her team takes over. They balance closing disclosures to the penny and coordinate the attorneys and title partners, and loan officers stay in the loop the whole way, because the ending of a mortgage is a bad time for surprises.
The louder things get, the calmer she gets.
When a closing turns emotional, she's usually the one lowering the temperature on the call, mostly because she found the problem an hour before anyone else felt it. The white-glove standard at SouthCoast Processing holds all the way through the finish line, and a lot of that is her doing.
Outside the office, Aruba is practically a second home. She rescues dogs from the island, and several of them have followed her home for good. She's also a serious F1 fan, which makes sense for someone whose job is tight margins on a clock.
At home there's her husband Kyle, plus whichever rescues currently run the house. At work, she's protective of her team, and they know it.
